In the heart of Rietberg, directly on Rathausplatz, you will find the 15th century parish church of St. Johannes Baptist.

Damaged several times by the forces of nature and construction errors, the Roman Catholic parish church, which belongs to the Rietberg-Süd pastoral network in the Archdiocese of Paderborn, was rebuilt, renovated and extended several times over the years by Count Johann I, among others, so that today it shines as a three-aisled, late medieval church with baroque and neo-Gothic extensions in the heart of Rietberg.

Notes on opening hours:
Tuesdays to Sundays all day up to the barred doors
Friday: 15:00 to 17:00 open for visitors
