Beautiful circular tour to the Mastholte district with its interesting town center and past the Mastholter See recreation area. Ideal picnic tour for families with children.

The approx. 19 km long tour starts at the historic town hall in Rietberg and leads past the Rietberg fish ponds nature reserve with viewing tower and information board, past St. John's Chapel, probably Rietberg's most important architectural monument, and past the Mastholter See recreational area.

The route continues to the beautiful town center of Mastholte. Here you will find the Mastholte local history museum and the parish church of St. Jakobus. For those who would like to cycle a few more kilometers, there is the option of combining the route with the Bokel route.

Directions

Drive through the narrow passage to Rügenstraße - go straight ahead - turn left into Torfweg - after a few meters cross Torfweg at the traffic lights - turn into Am Seeufer - pass the outdoor pool and turn right - follow the path along the Ems, at the end turn right - straight on to Delbrücker Straße - cross this road and turn left - keep straight on - cross the B64 - follow Theresienstraße - turn left into Am Eichenhof - at the end of the road turn right into Merschhemkeweg - follow the road - cross Bresserstraße - straight on into Feldkamp - at the end of the road turn left into Alte Landstraße - cross the intersection us - straight ahead to Stukemeyerstraße - turn left - after a right-hand bend turn left into Seeweg - along Mastholter See to Am Mastholter See - turn right into Vennstraße - straight ahead into Brandstraße and follow this road - at the sports field turn right into Alte Landstraße - after approx. 50 m turn left into Jakobistraße - at the end of the road cross Rietberger Straße and follow Langenberger Straße - approx. 100 m after crossing the moat turn right into Löfkenfeld - follow the road to the large crossroads - turn left into Rietberger Straße - follow the road (it becomes Mastholter Straße) to the traffic circle in the town center - take the first street on the right - at the next traffic circle take the second street (Rathausstraße) - after approx. 15 m turn right into Südwall and follow it - turn left at the crossroads into Rügenstraße - follow Rügenstraße to the town hall
