Jüdischer Friedhof

Cemetery

The last evidence of Jewish life in Harsewinkel, which can be traced back to the 18th century, is the Jewish cemetery on August-Claas-Straße.

The small area, enclosed by a brick wall with a total of eight grave monuments, has four sandstone gravestones with Hebrew inscriptions from the 19th century, which are tapered and curved towards the top. Four further gravestones, partly made of artificial stone, date from the 1920s.

The Jewish cemetery is part of the Harsewinkel Stele Walk.
