The lovingly restored park with its beautiful pavilion invites you to linger. The south-facing location guarantees visitors wonderful sunshine and ensures that the vines in the Winzerschen Garten thrive magnificently. The Bürgerterrasse offers a special view of the city's landmark, Sparrenburg Castle.
Until the 1940s, the citizens of Bielefeld strolled here high above the city in the park surrounded by villas. After the war years, the area fell into oblivion and became increasingly overgrown. Since 2008, the park on the Johannisberg, which had fallen into a deep slumber, has been restored under the "StadtParkLandschaft" campaign and is blossoming into new splendor.
