Botanischer Garten
In 2012, the Bielefeld Botanical Garden celebrated its 100th anniversary. It is attractively located on the Kahlenberg near the city center and offers visitors a varied picture. Not only those interested in botany, but also walkers will be delighted by the enormous size of the plant collection and the diverse garden design elements.
Whether you are more interested in trees or flowers, everyone can discover their favorite plant in the Botanical Garden!
Special highlights are the rhododendron and azalea collection as well as the presentation of the various habitats: rock garden, alpine garden, medicinal and spice garden, heather garden and beech forest flora - to name just a few. In 2023, the grounds were expanded to include the apothecary garden with medicinal herbs, flower meadows and beds with useful plants.
