Langeland depot - a piece of railroad history
The Langeland depot is located on the Hanover - Altenbeken railroad line and on the Altenbeken - Kreiensen railroad line. A tunnel had to be dug through the Egge at Rehberg for the railroad. In 1905, a section of the 1,632-metre-long tunnel collapsed after heavy rainfall. In the 1950s, the Langeland depot was given a platform for passenger traffic, but this was removed again at the end of the 1960s.Good to know
