From the almost 290-metre-high Papenberg vantage point, a wide view opens up in a westerly direction. Neuenbeken can be seen in the foreground and Benhausen on the hill behind it. This is followed by Paderborn's city center with the 92-metre-high cathedral tower. To the north-west, you can see Bad Lippspringe, Schlangen and the Senne military training area in the background.
The vantage point invites you to take a leisurely break on your hike with a landscape lounger and a picnic bench. In the morning, the bench is in the shade, but you have a good view to the west. In the afternoon, it is then bathed in sunlight.
