Nestled in the beautiful Rehmerloh Mühlenbach valley, our historic village school is located on a small hill in the Rehmerloh district of the municipality of Kirchlengern. Since its closure, the "Alte Volksschule Rehmerloh" has been privately owned. In 2016, to the delight of the municipality, new owners arrived. Jan and Christoph Nobbe breathed fresh air and life into the building and the museum was created. Part of the school is open to the public and can be visited by prior arrangement. In addition to a historical classroom, old traditional costumes from the Westphalia region can also be seen, as well as an extensive collection of historical clothing from over 200 years of textile history. Part of the school garden invites visitors to linger. It is very important to the new owners that the history of this building and the history associated with it is preserved for posterity. They are happy to share this interest with you and look forward to your visit.
