The penultimate, eighth stage of the LGS route is largely characterized by water. You cycle along the Boker-Heide Canal and reach Lake Lippe with its leisure facilities shortly before Paderborn. The Schloß- und Auenpark Schloß Neuhaus is fascinating with its baroque garden, which was recreated according to an original plan. After 23 kilometers you reach your penultimate stage destination, the spa town of Bad Lippspringe.

Tradition and modernity, nature and culture - you will find all this and much more in the town by the leaning church tower. The Delbrücker Land is flat and numerous cycle routes and sights make Delbrück and its ten districts a paradise for cyclists. With its many owner-managed specialist stores, typical local restaurants and great events, Delbrück town center invites you to shop, linger and enjoy yourself all year round.

Located on the southern edge of the Teutoburg Forest and at the foothills of the Egge Mountains, the climatic health spa town of Bad Lippspringe borders directly on the unspoilt alpine pasture landscape. Bad Lippspringe has a lot to offer: 5 springs, 3 parks and a spa forest as well as beautiful cafés and restaurants, several star hotels and great events. A visit to the garden show, which emerged from the very successful 2017 State Garden Show, makes the experience in Bad Lippspringe perfect. Guests experience a retreat for local recreation in the middle of the city and can escape the stress of everyday life for a few hours.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author

Why not break up your stage and switch your sporting activity to the Lippesee: sailing, surfing or pedal boating are just as possible here as a round of water skiing on the neighboring Nesthauser See. On the northern shore, a small bathing beach tempts you to do nothing, while the kiosk has refreshments ready for you.

Safety guidelines

Please always make sure that your bike is roadworthy!
