There is a new top address for lovers of flowers, gardens and parks: the Bad Lippspringe Garden Show. This area emerged from the highly successful 2017 State Garden Show, which clearly exceeded visitor expectations. With the Bad Lippspringe Garden Show, the premium-class climatic health resort, idyllically situated between the Eggegebirge and Teutoburg Forest and on the edge of the Senne, has something special to offer. Under the motto "Floral splendor & forest idyll", there are impressive seas of flowers, various themed and model gardens, a completely newly staged forest and the romantic Mersmann ponds on 30 hectares. The garden show also offers a colorful program of events: Enchanting light objects at the Sparkassen-Waldleuchten in spring, artistic structures during the Sandwelten in summer and impressive sculptures at the Pumpkin Festival in fall. There are also regular yoga courses and open-air concerts on the Waldbühne stage between June and September. In addition, various themed tours of the grounds are offered on Sundays.

The unique concept of the Bad Lippspringe garden show is impressive: directly connected to the city center, the site combines colourful flowers and creative gardens in Kaiser-Karls-Park with the special magic of a mature backdrop in the forest park. The newly staged forest backdrop with decades-old trees and many shady areas as well as a large play world of elves and trolls are a vivid reminder of the 2017 State Garden Show.

The Bad Lippspringe Garden Show is open all year round with a main season and a low season. In addition to local residents and families with children, the horticultural show also targets best agers with a special interest in flowers, gardens and parks with its attractive range of events.

Bad Lippspringe has a lot to offer

The town of Bad Lippspringe was first mentioned in a document in 780 in Charlemagne's imperial annals. Several imperial assemblies were held at the source of the Lippe, the longest river in North Rhine-Westphalia. Bad Lippspringe was granted its first town charter in 1445; the current town charter dates back to 1921. The discovery of the Arminius spring in 1832 marked the start of spa operations. Bad Lippspringe is the only place in North Rhine-Westphalia that is allowed to use the designations "Heilbad" and "Heilklimatischer Kurort".

Multiple unique selling points

One of the special features of Bad Lippspringe is the direct connection between the town center and the spa forest, which was a unique scenario for the State Garden Show in North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition to the forest backdrop, the Bad Lippspringe Garden Show has other unique features. These include a large play world with eleven individually designed play areas under the motto "The World of Elves and Trolls", which is unique in this form in Germany. Another special feature is the FaithGarden, in which all religious communities at the site present a joint offering.
