Tribute concerts featuring Alex Parker and a musical collaborator of the unforgettable entertainer! On a major tour starting in January 2027

He is the most frequently booked and, in the opinion of many critics and fans, the best Udo Jürgens impersonator: Alex Parker. For over 30 years and with more than 1,000 performances—most recently with “The Udo Jürgens Story”—the 51-year-old has been bringing the “Udo Jürgens vibe” to the stage. 

Now, in 2027, Parker is launching a new Udo concert tour. From January through May and October through November 2027, the tour itinerary includes around 80 venues. Parker will be accompanied by a guest musician at each stop who worked personally with Udo Jürgens. Together, they aim to bring the special moments of Udo Jürgens’ live concerts—ranging from heartfelt to euphoric and enhanced with personal anecdotes—to the stage, thereby keeping the work and legacy of this exceptional artist and global star alive.

About the concert:
Udo Jürgens was not a “typical” star or pop singer when performing live—his concerts had something unique, timeless, and almost intimate about them. He had the ability to make even performances in huge venues feel personal. Whether in an arena or a concert hall—he spoke directly to the audience, told stories between songs, and created a sense of closeness usually found only at smaller concerts. Songs like “Griechischer Wein,” “Ich weiß, was ich will,” and “Ich war noch niemals in New York” took on an extra dynamic on stage because he varied the tempo, expression, and dramatic structure. In the end, one was often left with this feeling: You hadn’t just heard a string of hits, but had experienced an evening filled with character, personality, and genuine musical substance.

Alex Parker and his guests aim to evoke that special feeling. Parker plays the piano live and performs classics such as “Merci Cherie,” “Ein ehrenwertes Haus,” “Aber bitte mit Sahne,” “Mit 66 Jahren,” “Griechischer Wein,” “Ich war noch niemals in New York,” as well as many other hits and lesser-known songs, such as “Die Schwalben fliegen hoch” or “Glut und Eis.” Between songs, he recounts his encounters with Udo Jürgens—sharing humorous and moving anecdotes that offer the audience entirely new insights into the life of the unforgettable entertainer. He is accompanied—both musically and with anecdotes—by true companions of this exceptional musician. The following performers are scheduled to alternate: violinists Annette Maurer and Mona Seebohm. Both have accompanied Udo Jürgens on his tours. They will not only enrich the concerts musically but also create special moments by sharing their own experiences and stories.
