Margarethe von Kerssenbrock, Wilhelmine Aufderhorst, Caroline Louise Vornbäumen, Lucke zu der Mollen: these are just some of the women from Borgholzhausen's history whose life stories we will trace on this guided tour. On the Pium Patt we will make our way through the historic center of the town and look for traces of women in the past and their impact on the present. Using biographical examples from the 19th and 20th centuries, you will learn what life was like for women in Borgholzhausen during this period, what role women played in the town's early schools and churches and how their work and lives have accompanied us right up to the present century. The Kiepenkerl, typical of the region, and the tradition of honey cake bakers, for which Borgholzhausen is famous, will also be mentioned.
