"Healing, witches, throat judgment" - guided tour through Minden

When the Black Death struck a city, it affected many of its inhabitants. But how could people protect themselves from it, how was the plague transmitted and, above all, how could it be defeated? Find out from the plague doctor how hygiene and "school" medicine used to be in the city or wait for alternative healing methods and meet the healer on your way through the city. Under the cover of night, with the moon full and the loud, mysterious call of the tawny owl, she searches for herbs, plants and roots from which she makes her healing remedies. But she had to be careful, envy and resentment were not far away. Even a single exclamation of witchcraft, sorcery or a common alliance with the devil could be enough to bring the healer to an abrupt end. On behalf of the court, the executioner took part in the embarrassing interrogation and put a final end to the sentence.
