Synopsis: In the 72 hours leading up to D-Day, everything is ready—except for one key factor: the British weather. Britain’s chief meteorologist, James Stagg (Andrew Scott), is tasked with making the most momentous forecast in history and finds himself in a tense dilemma with the entire Allied leadership. Bad weather could derail the largest amphibious invasion of all time, while any delay carries the risk that German intelligence will get wind of it. The final decision rests with the Supreme Allied Commander, Dwight D. Eisenhower (Brendan Fraser), who can confide only in his trusted aide, Captain Kay Summersby (Kerry Condon), and is haunted by a disastrous D-Day rehearsal. With only a few hours left, the fate of the war and the lives of millions of people hang in the balance. (Source: filmstarts.de)
