Guided Tour Through the World of Fairy Tales

Historian Sonja Wehmeier leads a tour through the Fairy Tale Museum’s accessible permanent exhibition. She explains the most beautiful exhibits, from the pewter fairy-tale world to the fairy-tale clock. She shows how fairy tales came to be and why they exist all over the world. She also shares exciting stories from the Brothers Grimm. Fantasy, horror, mystery—they all have their roots in the fantastic and sometimes eerie tales of fairy tales and legends. At the Fairy Tale Museum in Bad Oeynhausen, visitors can explore this world of talking animals, heroic trials, and wondrous magic—stories that our ancestors have been telling around the hearth for centuries. A visit to the museum is included in the admission price. The guided tour is aimed at all adults and children ages 12 and up who are interested in fairy tales. Seating is available upon request.
