The rousing rhythms full of virtuosity and passion leave you spellbound. Balkan beats alternate with poignant classical music, exuberant klezmer stands in effective contrast to fiery Latin jazz. In this atmosphere and the unity between the musicians and the audience, it is impossible to keep your feet still, because the spontaneous joy of making music by these outstanding instrumentalists is simply infectious. Their shared passion is music without genre boundaries. Full of tension, intensity and joy, the music of Cuarteto Repentino reaches the heart of its listeners. The four classically trained thoroughbred musicians have found a musical language for their shared passion that transcends all genre boundaries and allows something completely new to emerge even from tried and tested pieces.
As the four musicians come from four different countries and cultures - Russia, Ukraine, Kosovo and Bolivia - the mutual discovery of their musical roots has become a source of inspiration and the basis of their own style.
When the young musicians met and played together on a project, it was suddenly and unexpectedly there (span. Repentino), the feeling of unity - and also the name for their ensemble: Cuarteto Repentino.
