Wasserschloss Rheda

Fortress/Castle
Venue
The imposing moated castle is still inhabited by the princely family of Bentheim-Tecklenburg. First mentioned in 1179, it combines several architectural styles: a chapel tower from the 13th century, a Renaissance wing with a gallery and a Baroque wing. Worth seeing are the important "White Hall" in rococo style, the tapestry room and the small castle chapel.
