How does drinking water actually get to the tap? On a guided tour of the Diebesweg Water Treatment Plant and the adjacent drinking water educational trail, school classes gain fascinating insights into Paderborn’s drinking water supply.

Along the educational trail, 21 informational panels and various stations clearly illustrate how drinking water is sourced, treated, distributed, and sustainably protected. In the process, students learn interesting facts about the responsible use of water as a resource and the importance of a sustainable water supply.

Upon request, each school class will receive a free class set of “Wasser macht Schule” as part of the guided tour, which includes teaching materials for preparation and follow-up activities.

The guided tour is free for school classes and can be booked with prior registration. Please remember to wear weather-appropriate clothing.

For more information and to book, visit the water treatment plant’s website.
