Monument
One of four former Corvey corn mills in the town of Höxter
The Obermühle is one of the oldest Corvey grain mills in the Höxter district, dating back to the 12th century.

Like the Untere Mühle, the Steinmühle and the Mönchemühle, it is located on the Grubekanal. The artificial watercourse was created in the 9th century on behalf of the Corvey monks and supplied the monastery with water. The mill belonged to Corvey until secularisation in 1803. The mill building at the pit, which has been preserved today, dates back to the 19th century.
