Town towers | Town wall

Monument
The only preserved town tower at almost full height
The remains of 14 towers integrated into the town wall have survived to this day. Nine towers are documented by name, including the "Red Tower", the "Thick Tower" and the "Harecatcher".

The tower at this point is the only one that still towers over the top of the wall today. In the late Middle Ages, some of the towers served as accommodation for poor town servants and widows.
