The Rothebach aqueduct is used to carry the water from the Boker Canal over the Rothebach using a "bridge". Unlike in natural watercourses, the water level of a canal is regulated by humans. Therefore, there can be no uncontrolled inflows. In this respect, the waters of the canal and Rothebach stream cross at this aqueduct without coming into contact with each other.
Another, even more impressive aqueduct is located near the northern shore of Lake Lippe at the camping and weekend site: the listed Thune aqueduct was only renovated in 2018 and is therefore well worth a visit.
