Paderborn Town Hall is a magnificent Weser Renaissance building.

Master builder Hermann Baumhauer from Wewelsburg erected the town hall at the behest of Bishop Dietrich IV von Fürstenberg between 1613 and 1620.
The magnificent main façade is striking, with two porches with smaller gables jutting out at the sides. Below are two open halls supported by Doric columns, which used to serve as courtrooms. The structure of the building in the Weser Renaissance style and the complete dissolution of the main floor in the window are particularly striking.

The town hall houses the large council chamber with a cafeteria, a small meeting room, several offices such as the Family Service Center and the registry office's wedding room. The Golden Book of the City of Paderborn is also kept here.

In front of the town hall is a baroque "Kump" (fountain), which is decorated with the coat of arms of the city of Paderborn.
