Nature reserve/natural monument
The Kipshagener Teiche nature reserve consists of several pond areas. Some of these are left to develop naturally and become boggy as a result. Cranberries, heather and pines are the most conspicuous plants that colonize the drier sandy soil.

The Bielefeld - Paderborn train line takes you directly to Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock. Bus lines 84 and 84.1 will take you to the Stukenbrock Rathaus bus stop. You can find your travel options by public transport via OWL-Verkehr https://teutoowl.de/owlv/.
Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock is easily accessible by car via the A33 highway with two highway exits (Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock and Stukenbrock-Senne). From the Stukenbrock-Senne exit, follow Paderborner Straße, after about 5.6 kilometers turn into Spellerstraße. After about 1.6 kilometers turn into Alte Spellerstraße and at the end of the road turn right into Rathausstraße. At the traffic circle, take the third exit into Holter Straße and after about 270 meters turn into Am Hallenbad.
From the freeway exit Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock, follow Oerlinghauser Straße for about one kilometer and then turn left into Bahnhofsstraße. Follow this road for about one kilometer and then turn left onto Holter Straße. After about 800 meters, turn left onto Am Hallenbad.
We recommend parking in one of the parking lots there and walking to the nature reserve.
You can reach the destination by bike via the SHS 1 cycle path.
