The palace ensemble of the FÜRSTENBERG porcelain manufactory is a magnificent monument to the Weser Renaissance. It houses the museum and visitor workshop, the factory outlet and the Bistro Carl. FÜRSTENBERG's charm lies in the combination of yesterday and today. Here is the historical monument with a modern museum, there is the famous manufactory, which has been producing exclusive porcelain here since 1747.
In the modern museum world, visitors experience a journey through time from the beginnings of the porcelain manufactory through the different eras and styles to the present day. On display are not only valuable individual pieces and design icons, but also the background to porcelain production. Visitors can also become active themselves: The multimedia exhibition repeatedly invites visitors to join in at hands-on stations where touching is expressly encouraged.
How does the handle get on the cup? In the visitor workshop, there is no fear of touching the porcelain. Shards that break here bring luck and lots of fun - not just for adults, but especially for children. At their workstations, the porcelain makers introduce visitors to the secrets of their delicate craftsmanship through practical work.
Workshops and painting courses invite you to further discover porcelain from FÜRSTENBERG.
In the manufactory factory outlet, you will discover fine tableware and inspiration for your own home. It is not only the world's largest specialist shop for FÜRSTENBERG porcelain, but also the only one with the complete FÜRSTENBERG collection. Exclusive table linen and high-quality accessories round off the range.
