Museum in der Kellnerei im Kloster Clarholz

Museum/Exhibition
In addition to a permanent exhibition on the history of Clarholz Abbey, there is an annually changing exhibition on a cultural or church history theme

The "Museum in der Kellnerei" was set up in the east wing of the Clarholz Provostry building by the Friends of the Clarholz Provostry and inaugurated in June 2007 by the Abbot General of the Premonstratensian Order, R.D. Thomas Handgrätinger OPraem (Rome). The restored rooms, which date back to the Baroque period (1705/07), house a permanent exhibition on life, piety and art in Clarholz Monastery (1133 - 1803). The corridor on the upper floor is used as a gallery for art exhibitions.

The monastery museum is open from early/mid-June to mid-October on Sundays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and by appointment with the Friends of Clarholz Abbey on 05245-5646.
