The circular trail is around 8 km long and partly follows the Prelate's Trail. Look forward to idyllic parts through the forest and a beautiful avenue view of the monastery!

Note: The marking work will only be completed shortly!

A good alternative if you don't want to walk the entire length of the Prelate's Way. Get a taste of it. Clarholz is beautiful and this trail takes you right through the middle and around much of it.

The former Premonstratensian monastery in Clarholz is a great place to start and finish the route. You can park on the nearby market square. You will find places to stop for refreshments, including outdoor catering in good weather, directly on the church square.

Directions

The trail, marked with the orange symbol of the Clarholz monastery complex, is quite easy to walk, varied over forest paths and roads, but not necessarily suitable for baby carriages. For example, a smaller, charming section of the trail on the eastern edge of Clarholz leads along an idyllic path through the forest. In principle, it doesn't matter where you start the tour, as it is a circular route that you can walk in either direction. If you start in a northerly direction, you will be rewarded with a beautiful avenue view of the monastery at the end of the tour.
