The interactive city model "Minden Fortress in 1873" and the "Showcase of Minden's History" with objects ranging from a hand axe to a handball trophy provide an introduction to Minden's history. Rare gold guilders are on display and visitors can learn exciting facts about the Weser Renaissance and the region's sandstones. In addition to the history of Minden beer, the history of the use of fire and the fight against fires and floods is also told. Under the title "Facts, Fictions, Research", the Battle of Minden in 1759 is presented.
