In 2007, the "Kunsthaus Rietberg - MuseumWilfried Koch" and the "Klostergarten - Skulpturenpark WilfriedKoch" were inaugurated, two important cultural projects for Rietberg. The Wilfried Koch Museum was created in a Rietberg farmhouse dating back to 1767 (inscription), which has a continuous floor. This makes it suitable for exhibitions as well as smaller events. The house is home to the paintings and drawings of the artist Dr. Wilfried Koch, supplemented by records and documents relating to his person and his scientific work.
Around 100 paintings and around 700 drawings are presented in regularly changing exhibitions in the museum. After a tour of the museum, the Kunsthausgarten, picturesquely situated between the Altes Progymnasium and the Rietberger Heimathaus, to which there is a connection, invites you to linger in a natural and artistically designed atmosphere.
