Kinderbibliothek (KiBi)

  • Bookshop/library

How do you find the right book? What kinds of media are available at the children's library? And how does the borrowing process actually work?

During an age-appropriate guided tour, preschoolers and schoolchildren get to know the Children’s Library (KiBi) in a playful way. They discover the layout of the library, learn how to find books and other media, and receive an introduction to the checkout process.

Afterward, there is time for the children to explore the Children’s Library on their own and discover the wide variety of media available—from books and audiobooks to games and Tonies. With written consent from parents, a library card can also be issued on the spot, allowing children to borrow materials immediately.

Thematic tours are also offered for elementary school classes, covering topics such as fairy tales, picture books, or children’s book authors. For 3rd and 4th-grade classes, a digital scavenger hunt using the Actionbound app is also available, making the library visit even more interactive. Further information can be found on the Paderborn City Library website.
