Kaiser-Wilhelm-Platz

Park/gardens
Kaiser-Wilhelm-Platz is a historic park in the immediate vicinity of Detmold's old town.

Kaiser-Wilhelm-Platz was created back in 1875 as a green oasis near Detmold's old town. Following its redesign and reopening in 2022, the square is very popular with families. The ground-level fountain in particular is a welcome opportunity to cool off on warm days. Located right next to the imposing Christuskirche church, the square also offers one of Detmold's most beautiful children's playgrounds.
