The Frenkel House Memorial is a facility operated by the Old Hanseatic City of Lemgo. A small permanent exhibition focuses on the history of the Jewish Frenkel family in their former home and business building. Until their deportation on July 28, 1942, the family lived in this house in the heart of downtown Lemgo.
The exhibition presents the life story of Holocaust survivor and eyewitness Karla Raveh (née Frenkel, 1927–2017). As a Holocaust survivor, she made sharing her story and preserving her memories her life’s work after many years of silence.
