This approx. 28 km long circular tour starts at Brake Castle, which also houses the Weser Renaissance Museum, and leads to Wendlinghausen Castle. From there, the route heads towards Dörentrup via Humfeld. On the way, you can take a break at the Hotel Landhaus Begatal. Refreshed, the route returns from there to Lemgo, passing the Junkerhaus Museum.
1. BRAKE CASTLE
The moated castle with its imposing towers and the Weser Renaissance Museum is a popular excursion destination.
Experiential tours, workshops and much more await. Make gold, paper and/or perfume
, take a seat at the courtly table or even put on a Renaissance costume - many things are
possible at Brake Castle.

2. CAFÉ WALKENMÜHLE
It has the rustic coziness of a ski hut. When you enter Café Walkenmühle, you will find an oasis of well-being both inside and out - whether it's a crackling open fire or a large beer garden right on the water with an incomparable view of the Brake/Voßheide nature reserve. Fresh cakes every day, regular concerts and
special dining offers at the weekend.

3. WENDLINGHAUSEN CASTLE
Wendlinghausen Castle and Manor, with its unique architecture, is one of the most magnificent Weser Renaissance buildings from the beginning of the 17th century.
The estate enchants with its unmistakable charm at numerous castle festivals, conferences and weddings.

4. LANDHAUS BEGATAL
One of the most beautiful beer gardens in the region - in addition to around 150 seats, whether under the sun canopy or in the Mediterranean-style garden. Under blue skies
numerous events make a visit an experience - or on the covered terrace in unpleasant weather.

5. MUSEUM JUNKERHAUS
The main work of the artist Karl Junker (1850-1912) gets its unusual appearance from the richly carved architectural ornamentation. A unique two-storey monument that has been connected to a museum building by a covered glass walkway
since 2004 and hosts changing exhibitions.
