Frei- und Hallenbad Harsewinkel

Swimming pool
Harsewinkel has had an outdoor pool since 1960. In 1983, this was extended to include the adjacent indoor pool. This means that Harsewinkel offers the opportunity to do sports in the water at any time of year or simply enjoy the large sunbathing lawn of the outdoor pool and the cool water in the summer months.

During the opening hours of the outdoor pool, the indoor pool remains closed to the general public.

Sports and fitness also include a break ...

Relaxed, but also tired and exhausted from swimming? No problem, you can rest, relax, chat and enjoy delicious food in the bistro.

You are welcome to celebrate your children's birthday with water games and a party in the bistro afterwards.

Beginner's swimming lesson: every Friday from 3 to 4 pm

From Friday, October 10, 2025, a special beginner's swimming lesson will take place every Friday from 3 to 4 pm during the indoor pool season for all beginners. Inexperienced and unsure swimmers can then get (re)accustomed to the element of water with their parents/grandparents under the supervision and assistance of experienced pool staff.

No registration is required, the regular pool entrance fee applies. The Harsewinkel town council would like to point out that the offer is explicitly not a course in the true sense of the word, but rather an open swimming lesson without a supporting program, during which the pool staff will be available to answer specific questions about learning to swim and to provide tips and assistance. Children may only take part in the offer if accompanied by a responsible adult; the pool staff do not assume any responsibility for supervision.

After the open swimming lesson, the indoor pool team invites you to a (family) playtime from 4 to 6 pm, where various toys are available in the water.

Women's swimming: every last Sunday of the month from 5 to 7 p.m.

From October, the indoor pool invites women and girls only to swim on the last Sunday of the month from 5 to 7 p.m.
The pool will then be available for two hours exclusively to female bathers looking for informal encounters with women from all over the world. Male visitors will not be admitted during this period.

Whether a female pool attendant will also be on duty on the day in question can be found out by calling 05247 / 935 270 before your visit if required. The regular admission prices apply.

After the women's swimming lesson, the swimming and opening times of the indoor pool end as usual at 7 pm on the respective Sunday.
