Open-air travelling exhibition by Laura and Christel Lechner
From 15 March to 27 October 2024 in Höxter
In Höxter, everyday people cool their feet at the fountain field in the pedestrian zone or make a polonaise in front of the Dechanei. They squat on a wall, stand on a street corner or enjoy the sun in a deckchair by the Weser. The sculptures are always a little chubby and always radiate a feeling of contentment.
The everyday people can be found in the pedestrian zone and on the Weser promenade. Locals and tourists can experience the Lechner figures on a tour. The tour starts at the car park on Berliner Platz. The large open-air exhibition is free and open to the public.
Each Lechner sculpture weighs 80 to 150 kilograms, is firmly anchored in the ground and is painted to be weatherproof. These unique figures have long enriched public spaces throughout Germany and have also caused a stir in Greece and Switzerland. The exhibition locations  are carefully selected by the two artists.
