Museum/Exhibition
Art and archaeology in the former Corvey feudal estate of Heisterman von Ziehlberg.
The Jacob Pins Forum in the Adelshof has been open in Höxter since 2008. With this building, whose origins date back to the 13th century, a historical monument was returned to the inhabitants after three decades of vacancy and decay, making it an eyesore for the town.

Behind the old entrance door, the restored Adelshof, formerly the official residence of the Chancellors of Corvey, offers the rare opportunity to experience the extensively preserved and carefully restored building fabric of a Weser Renaissance aristocratic court and at the same time gain an insight into the changes in a noble family's ideas of living from the 16th to the 19th century.

The Forum Jacob Pins is also a place of remembrance for the Jewish citizens of Höxter. For more than 700 years, they helped shape the social life of the town until they were deported to the extermination camps during the Third Reich and murdered there. Documenting their fate is the subject of one part of the exhibition.

As an art museum, the Jacob Pins Forum is a place where the work of the German-Israeli artist Jacob Pins from Höxter is made accessible to the citizens of the town and visitors from all over Germany.

But above all, the restored Adelshof is a sign of civic engagement in the town's society. The restoration was only possible thanks to the financial, non-material and material contributions of many citizens of the city who have identified with the project and support the Forum Jacob Pins with their voluntary work.
