The Protestant parish church at Kirchstrasse 1 is located in the heart of the village. It was already mentioned as a parish in 1246. The church is a single-nave, cruciform structure with a west tower in the transitional style of the 13th century. The straight choir was donated by Margareta von Kerssenbrock auf Haus Brincke in 1496, the sacristy in 1876. The church contains the remains of a vault decoration (late 13th century) and a stone altarpiece from 1501. The altar is a local work, clearly influenced in its arrangement and treatment by works of Flemish carving. The church, which was probably built by the Counts of Ravensberg as their own church, is one of the oldest churches in the district and forms the center of the town.
