A typical inner-city green corridor, which was characterized by a canal-like watercourse that had been degraded to a receiving watercourse, was transformed into a near-natural landscape.
Today, a natural watercourse winds its way through this approximately ten-hectare site, from which alien elements such as rose beds and non-landscape trees such as omorica spruce and juniper have disappeared without exception. Rare bird species such as the kingfisher and woodcock can now be observed there again. This green corridor is an extremely important link between the buildings in the Sudbrack area and the landscape of the Johannisbach valley. The wide open spaces are an enticement to experience this area by bike.
