Bärenbach - Sennebäche in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock

PDF

Waters
Located in a nature reserve, the Bärenbach is a beautiful and typical Sennebach stream with shallow water and a light-colored sand bed.
The 2.2-kilometre-long Bärenbach, a tributary of the Furlbach, is doubly lucky with its location. It has its source on the Senne military training area and almost the entire course of the stream is located within the restricted military area, which is only open to visitors at certain times. At the same time, it flows through a water protection area used by the Bielefeld public utility company for the production of drinking water. These conditions result in very good water quality, which is hardly affected by external influences.
