Since its closure over the years, a lively center for art, culture, crafts and creative education has developed within the walls of the Alte Lederfabrik on Alleestraße in Halle Westfalen. It has become a place where even unusual artistic ideas and cultural projects can find a space. The rooms, which are still reminiscent of the building's past, offer plenty of space for creativity.
The growing structure of artistic and cultural work in the Alte Lederfabrik is supported by the city of Halle Westfalen. It therefore rents space for the municipal gallery, which presents contemporary art by regional and national artists.
But the municipal cultural office also organizes other events on the factory premises, such as the annual Spring Awakening and the Haller Unikate, two major events with guest exhibitors that have become real crowd pullers.
