Uphill, downhill with magnificent views - discover and enjoy the wealth of the Wiehengebirge
The route starts in the Bad Holzhausen spa gardens and leads towards Lübbecke and on to Nettelstedt. While the route still leads through meadows and fields at this point, it is much hillier on the other side of the mountain, which is why a full e-bike battery or strong "mountain legs" are recommended.
With a detour into the neighboring district of Herford, the route leads steadily uphill or downhill. The magnificent views of both the Wiehengebirge and the Ravensberger Land are worth every effort. Not only does the start in Bad Holzhausen with its beautifully landscaped spa gardens invite you to linger, but a stop in Lübbecke is also worthwhile, e.g. at Barres Brauwelt.
If you want to shorten the tour, you can start at junction 78 in Lübbecke and then head for KP 61. A stopover at the Kahle Wart open-air stage is recommended. You also have to pedal hard on the shortcut, as it is very steep in places.
