This signposted circular route offers a varied ride for sporty connoisseurs through the diverse and mountainous landscape on the edge of the Weserbergland.

This circular route offers a varied ride for sporty cyclists through the diverse landscape on the edge of the Weserbergland. The mature cultural landscape around Vlotho constantly offers new insights and views of the hilly landscape with its numerous historic half-timbered houses, pastures, fields and stream valleys. Many places along the route invite you to take a break to enjoy the view and recharge your batteries for the next ascent and descent. If you want to explore the old town of Vlotho or the Bonstapel nature trail at your leisure or take time to visit the Exter highway church or take a walk through the spa gardens, the tour should be planned as a day trip.

The route leads almost exclusively along roads with little traffic, independent cycle paths and asphalted farm tracks, some of which are closed to through traffic. This means that the circular route is also suitable for families with children.

An alternative starting point is the parking lot at the freeway church in Vlotho-Exter. The church is signposted from the "Vlotho-Exter" highway exit.

Further information on the route and the waypoints can be found on the Herford district cycling leisure website: www.fahr-im-kreis.de.
