Here you will find beautiful walking suggestions around the museum courtyard. Explore the region on foot on circular routes of varying lengths. The shortest tour is suitable for baby carriages and walking frames and can be completed in a good quarter of an hour. The longest tour (8.5 km) takes you through the countryside along the floodplain to Varl.

If you have a little more time at your disposal, you can enjoy nature on this circular hiking trail. After you have left the historic castle ruins and the museum courtyard behind you, you will come to the Aue area, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet.

Walk along the Große Aue as far as Varlheide before taking the path back to the museum farm, lined with old farmhouses.
