This easy hike takes you along the museum courtyard grounds to the Große Aue. You walk past the historic castle ruins before passing through the adjoining woodland to reach the Aue lowlands. Follow the idyllic river to Lemförder Straße, which leads you back to the museum courtyard.

If you are traveling from the north or south, the best way to reach Rahden is via the B 239. If you are coming to Rahden from the east or west, take the L 770 (or L 766).
