This approximately 27 km long cycle tour starts on the banks of the Weser in Beverungen and leads along the Weser, Bever and Diemel rivers through the varied natural and cultural landscape of the Weserbergland.

It connects the three federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse and Lower Saxony and impresses with its alternating plateaus and river valleys. In combination with attractive sights such as the Herstelle Monastery, the Huguenot town of Bad Karlshafen and the Weser Skywalk near Würgassen, the half-day tour can also be extended to a full day. The route runs mainly along the popular Weser cycle path R 99, is signposted ("3 auf einem Streich") and has an information board at the starting point. Catering establishments such as cafés or restaurants invite you to take culinary breaks along the route. Animals such as parrots can also be seen.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author

The Weser Skywalk near Würgassen offers a fantastic view over the Weser valley. The short detour from Würgassen (approx. 5 km) is well worth it! More information about the sights can be found at www.beverungen.de in the Tourism & Leisure section.
