Main lines Long-distance & ICE

There are several ICE stops and stations with connections to long-distance services in the Teutoburg Forest holiday region.

In addition to direct ICE and IC connections, the East Westphalia-Lippe region is excellently integrated into the German rail network. Important transport hubs are located nearby: Hanover, Osnabrück and Hamm (Westphalia) can be reached in a short time and offer numerous transfer options. This creates a dense network of connections to all major cities in Germany – whether to Hamburg, Berlin, Munich or the Ruhr area.

Travelling regionally by train

The train is also the ideal choice for shorter journeys and excursions within the region. Numerous regional express and regional train lines reliably connect towns and villages in the Teutoburg Forest holiday region. This allows you to plan local excursions just as flexibly as spontaneous trips to the surrounding regions – without a car and in complete comfort.
