In the beautiful Eggedorf Altenbeken in the middle of the nature park Eggegebirge - southern Teutoburg Forest you will find our friendly, well-kept, family-run house - Hotel Café Mertens - right in the center of Altenbeken and yet only 500 m from the forest. Here you will experience your vacation in comfortably furnished rooms (shower/WC/hairdryer/telephone/TV). Parking lot and green area directly at the house. The day starts well with a good breakfast and baked goods from our own production. In our house there is also a cozy restaurant, where you can end the day quietly. We also offer a specialty of the house, our baked ham dinner (from 10 persons). From our house you can undertake beautiful hikes at any time of the year through the Paderborner Land, Kulturland Höxter or on the Europaweg E1. Altenbeken offers circular hiking trails from 5 - 25 km. We are happy to help you organize and plan your hike (arrangement of hiking guides).
