Christof Jauernig - A Thousand Times Meaning of Life

Event Information

Meaning in life – a key ingredient for a fulfilling life. Christof Jauernig knows from personal experience what it feels like to lose it: As an analyst, he spent years studying banking issues – until he realized that this work no longer made sense to him. Today, he is an author who only focuses on the questions that truly matter to him.
What does meaning in life mean for others? For his current book A Thousand Times Meaning of Life, Jauernig surveyed over 1,000 people in 66 cities, including Bad Salzuflen. He compiles the most impressive and touching answers into an accessible insight into 59,000 years of life experience. He contextualizes the perspectives and relates them to his own crisis of meaning and search for it.
Like his previous program A Thousand Times Happiness, Christof Jauernig also makes A Thousand Times Meaning of Life a mood-enhancing meditative experience. He combines narrative and lyrical-poetic texts with visual projections and piano improvisations performed by himself – a distinctive style that appeals to both heart and mind. An open question round with the author concludes the evening.
A Thousand Times Meaning of Life offers inspiration and new perspectives in turbulent times that can provide reassurance. It invites you to discover, question, or view your own meaning in a new light.

This is a joint event by the City Library Bad Salzuflen and the VHS Bad Salzuflen.
