Sparrenburg Festival Bielefeld

Every year in July, the mighty fortress of Sparrenburg Castle becomes the historical backdrop for the medieval castle spectacle for three days.

A wild crowd of jugglers, minstrels, traders and vagabonds takes visitors back to the time of indulgence preachers and minstrels, the Black Death but also the wild joy of life. Shopkeepers, hucksters and craftsmen characterize the medieval market with homemade goods.
