2000 years of tradition
Every year on the first Sunday after the first full moon in spring, burning wheels are rolled from the Osterberg into the valley of the River Emmer in Lügde.
The town of Lügde is proud of this spectacular tradition and consequently calls itself the "town of Easter bikes".
The Easter bike run attracts many visitors every year and is also a great way to spend a few days in the town and the region.
