Friday
The annual October market is the event highlight in Büren. A wide-ranging program of events awaits both children and young people as well as adults.

The October market traditionally starts with the Krammarkt breakfast on Friday, 27 September, from 7:30 to 10 a.m. in the marquee on the market square, to which all citizens are cordially invited.

From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., you can stroll around the Krammarkt on Bertholdstrasse and Aftestrasse. The October market will then be officially opened at 2 pm with the tapping of the keg beer by Mayor Burkhard Schwuchow, accompanied by music from the "Prinz-Regent" Büren fanfare band, and the funfair mile can also be visited from 2 pm. The opening of the 1st Büren ball track will take place at 3 pm.

"Celebration & Evening" is the motto in Büren's retail sector from 4 pm. The participating stores will be offering extended opening hours until 8 p.m. under the motto "store & drink" and invite you to enjoy an atmospheric evening.

From 8 p.m., The 80s 90s live band will provide a great atmosphere in the marquee with a large repertoire of 80s and 90s songs, including unforgettable one-hit wonders. The right choice of songs in combination with the right outfit from a time when records and CDs could still be found on living room shelves lay the foundation for a rousing journey back in time through bygone days of music history. The band combines years of live experience and professionalism with a rousing stage performance and thus manages to captivate the audience.

Saturday

On October Market Saturday, September 28, the fun fair also starts at 2 pm. At the same time, the children's flea market can be visited in the underground car park below the market square, the historical group "Cohors Burana" invites you to the juice press in the Almeauen and the arrival of the Oldtimer-Freunde Büren takes place in the upper Burgstraße. This will then become an exhibition venue for classic cars from 3 p.m. and in the marquee on the market square, the classic car friends will host the "10 years of BÜR license plates" talk.

Dance enthusiasts can look forward to a performance by the Millennium Dance School from 4:30 p.m., with professional dancers Erich Klann and Oana Nechiti presenting the Hip Hop Kids and the Hip Hop Juniors in the marquee on the market square. Another highlight is the "Nachtfrequenz" skate park party with DJ and show riding from 6 pm in the Almeauen, organized by the Büren youth welfare service.

From 8 pm, Die Heckenklescher will perform their mix of folk music, hits, oldies, rock, pop and modern charts. The party band consists of six top-class musicians from all over Austria, who call themselves the "Heckis". Whether in traditional lederhosen or a little more casual and rocking - the "Heckis" will get the audience in the marquee on the market square in the right mood. By the way, if you turn up in traditional costume, you get a free beer!

After Die Heckenklescher, party DJ Hubi will be playing in the marquee.

Sunday

The funfair mile opens on Sunday, September 29, at 11 am. From 10 a.m., the historical group Cohors Burana will be serving fresh pork knuckles and potato pancakes, coffee and cake as well as cold drinks in the Almeauen. At 11 a.m., the winners of this year's City Cycle will also be honored in the marquee on the market square. This will be followed at 12 noon by a morning pint with the Original Kapelle Zauberwald. If you fancy Bavarian specialties at the morning pint, you can register by 24 September at www.bueren.de/anmeldung or by completing the registration form on the October market flyer.

The traditional grand prize and ham raffle will take place on the market square at 6 pm. A special highlight this year is the subsequent pack singing.

The lucky tickets for the raffle (see October market flyer) can be dropped into the lottery drum in the foyer of the Sparkasse am Markt until 29 September at 5:30 pm.

In addition to the individual program items, the October market Sunday invites you to the open city center from 1 pm to 6 pm.

Monday
From 2 p.m. on Monday, September 30, the family day in Burgstraße will begin. The rides will be offering discounted prices. TV 13 Büren also invites you to the "Family Day on the Beach" in the lower Burgstraße from 2 p.m. and the October market weekend ends with the Senior Citizens' Afternoon from 3 p.m. in the marquee on the market square, where the Sauerland Oldies will be performing. Tickets for the Senior Citizens' Afternoon are available for five euros from the Citizens' Office.

Other and recurring highlights
Throughout the weekend, TV13 Büren will be offering volleyball demo training sessions and beach tournaments. October market guests can also look forward to "An Evening at the Beach" with lounge music and cold drinks on both Fridays and Saturdays from 6 pm in the lower Burgstraße.

Walking acts, street theater with Carmela as well as children's knight games in the Almeauen and street magic with David Wedegärtner round off the supporting program for the October market culturally and all visitors will also get their money's worth in terms of culinary delights.

From 27 to 29 September, Ibiza Büren will also open its doors to guests of the October market one last time. There will be a DJ session on Friday and Saturday evening, so that you can once again celebrate and toast to the past years.

Due to the Oktobermarkt, the Büren weekly market will be relocated to Boedt's parking lot in Detmarstraße on Wednesday, 25 September and Saturday, 28 September. It will take place as usual from 8 am to 12 noon.
